Waddup, buttercup?
I heard you want to try out freelancing, and start earning money on Fiverr. That’s great to hear!
I love helping others make some πΈπΈ on the side, and Fiverr is an awesome website where you can do just that. (Plus, as long as you get clients, you get to be your own boss and work whenever and wherever you choose!)
But what if I have no skills? ;(
Don’t worry, we all start somewhere.
Not to sound cliche, but it’s true – you think the people making $3000 per month on Fiverr as a copywriter or video editor were born doing so? Nuh uh.
If you wanna learn a new skill that you can soon use to make money as a freelancer or land a job, check out my article on 9 skills to learn to make money (plus how to learn them for free).
Now, I know that there are some of you who may not have enough time/energy at the moment to learn a new skill.
Aaand that is exactly why I will introduce to you these Fiverr gig ideas that you can offer without any special skills.
Let’s dive right in (after having read this enormous introduction), shall we?

#1: App/website testing
Did you know you can make money by surfing apps and websites? Something that most of us do in our free time anyways.
Yup, that’s right, companies will pay you to criticize their websites and apps.
Why would they pay for that?
Because by receiving criticism from actual users, they can identify the weak spots of their newly launched platform, and make changes accordingly.
You don’t need to have any special web development or UX/UI design skills in order to start testing websites and apps: all you need is a working internet connection, and your phone or laptop!
You can offer your app/website testing service in two main forms: a video or a report.
In a video, you’d share your screen and talk about what you see on the website, what you like and what you don’t like.
Meanwhile, if you chose to write a report, you’d create a Docs/Word file, take screenshots of the troublesome parts of the website/app, and leave your comments in the file. If you’re unsure about how to write a report, just do a quick Google search and look at some samples.
You can obviously also mix and match. (If you’re more of an introvert, like me, I’d recommend delivering your reviews in the form of reports :D)
#2: Copywriting
Like writing?
Then today is your lucky day, as I am glad to inform you that you can turn that passion into a Fiverr gig and earn some sweet cha-ching cha-ching.
There are honestly tons of different copywriting gigs you can offer: you can write articles and blog posts, website content, books, emails, sales texts and product descriptions, social media posts, etc.
Great thing is, with the tools available today (ahem, ChatGPT), you don’t even have to be an excellent writer in order to offer those services: you can use AI to generate ideas, and even write whole texts for you (although I recommend doing the latter only for short content, like Instagram posts, not articles!)
Other tools, like Quillbot, can help you check grammar and make sure your texts, if written using ChatGPT, will pass AI detection.
If you’re interested in learning more about copywriting on Fiverr, I highly recommend checking out Alexandra Fasulo, whose YouTube videos will teach you everything from how to set up your Fiverr account to how to become a top-rated seller.
#3: Translation
Where are all my non-native English speakers at?
If you’re bilingual, you can take advantage of that fact, and start offering translation gigs on Fiverr.
Just by being born in Estonia and knowing how to speak both Estonian and English, I have made over $2000 on Fiverr doing translation and proofreading. That’s what I call ez money.
Of course, the less competitors you have, the more likely you are to get translation clients (hence it was easy for me to get noticed).
But if your first language is, say, Spanish, you need to do a lot more work to get noticed.
Also, if you’ve already got your first Fiverr translation gig client (in which case, congratzz!) then here’s a quick hack for you: you can use Word to automatically translate the text for you, and then all you’ve got to do it check and proofread the text, and fix any mistakes you see.
#4: Proofreading and editing
“Okok, I get it, you speak two languages. But what if I don’t?”
In that case, you can offer ‘proofreading in English‘ gigs instead.
This, of course, requires you to know basic grammar, punctuation, and other such stuff, as well as knowing how to phrase sentences to give text a more natural flow, etc., etc.
So pretty much, if you love reading and writing (and extra points if you’re a perfectionist) then this one’s for you.
Also, you may actually find it better to do proofreading on other platforms, because getting noticed as a proofreader on Fiverr can be tough, plus the pay isn’t all that good.
Be sure to check out more guides and videos on the topic, like this proofreading tutorial for beginners – how much can you really earn?.
#5: Voice overs
Alright, here’s one for all my people who love acting and don’t hate their own voice on recordings (is that even possible? idk).
Voice overs are a great gig option, because it’s easier to stand out than with more impersonal gigs (like proofreading or testing websites): a client’s search results can already be filtered down by specifying the gender, age group, accent, spoken language, etc.
And, all you really need for this gig is a good microphone and a quiet place to record in.
People and companies usually look for voice artists to do voice overs for their YouTube videos, ads, games, etc.
If you try out this gig then let me know how it goes, I’m interested in trying it out myself, too, sometime soon!
#6: Model
Now, if you’ve got the looks, you’re bold, and not camera-shy, why not try out being a model?
It sure as hell would make a lucrative side hustle, plus how cool would it be to tell your friends: “Yeah, I’m a part-time model“??
It’s only recently that I discovered you can model through Fiverr, as well.
Up until then, I just imagined you had to belong to a modelling agency and take lessons on how to catwalk.
So, how does modeling through Fiverr work?
Usually, models on Fiverr offer their services so that the company they’re modeling for ships the items to them.
The company and the model discuss the details of the project beforehand (the budget, where to shoot and whether to hire a photographer, etc.).
After that, the model organizes the photoshoot, sends the photos to the buyer, and charges the client for the extra fees (like a photographer).
#7: ASMR videos
Yeah, people are willing to pay for some pretty weird stuff. Like personally tailored ASMR.
Let’s just say, I was surprised to find out that there are people making $50 for producing a 5-minute custom ASMR video. What a crazy world we live in.
So, if you’re an ASMR fan, and have a caaaaalming voice and a quiet place to film in, why not give it a go?
#8: Game testing
We talked about websites, we talked about apps, now it’s time for games!
If you love trying out new games, then this might be the gig for you.
Just like with apps and websites, companies who are launching a new game want to first test it out to see if there’s any room for improvement.
So they’ll pay you to play their game, and provide criticism and suggestions.
You can also, of course, choose whether you want to test out games made for mobiles or PC/laptop.
#9: Virtual assistant
Do you excel in Excel?
π
Ok, that was a shitty joke, I apologize.
Anyways, you can easily put your basic software skills to use by offering to do boring, repetitive online tasks for other people on Fiverr.
Like, for example:
- sending out or replying to emails
- entering data into Exce or Google Sheets
- calling or chatting with clients
- creating PowerPoint or Google Slides presentations
- posting on social media
- doing research
- etc.
There is, of course, a lot of competition, as there are many people from lower-income countries offering this service for $5/hr.
But it’s still also possible to get clients for $10-15/hour, if you know how to provide value.
#10: Transcription and subtitling
Even though nowadays there are AI tools that people and businesses can use to generate subtitles automatically, not everyone knows about this opportunity (or maybe they want to be extra sure that their subtitles get generated correctly).
So, you can offer your transcription and subtitling services on Fiverr, or even platforms specially made for transcription and subtitling, like rev.com.
This gig ain’t gonna make you rich, and it may get pretty repetitive, but if you want a flexible and quick way to make some money, it’s definitely a good option.
#11: Beta reading
Ok, another one for my bookworms: beta reading.
Your job will be reading articles, books, novels, and manuscripts before they get published.
All you get asked for in return is your honest opinion, criticism, and suggestions.
#12: Social media management
Ok, this is not totally zero-skill, but…
I mean, almost everyone is on social media nowadays, so you most likely already know how your favorite social media platforms work.
So, with only a little knowledge, you can offer a social media management gig on Fiverr.
A social media management gig would usually include doing basic procedures for your client: designing posts, answering messages, and regularly posting content.
Also, there are other social media related ways you can make money: you can sell post templates on Etsy, or reach out to local businesses and offer to create better posts for their social media accounts.
#13: Teach your hobbies
I am 100% sure that there is something you’re already good at and love doing.
Maybe you know how to cook the most delicious pies? Or are you good at giving your friends dating advice? Maybe you’ve been going to the gym for years, and could share some advice?
Write down some of the things you’re good at, and think if you can monetize those hobbies somehow.
There are whole ‘consulting’ and ‘personal growth’ categories on Fiverr: people will pay to get advice from someone who can show them the ropes.
Psst! You can also share your knowledge in other ways: by creating an ebook, offering courses, creating youw own blog, tutoring people on tutor.com, etc.
#14: Language coaching
Kind of similar to the last one: language coaching.
If you seriously can’t think of any hobbies you can offer advice on, you can still help people learn a language you speak.
Whatever your native language is, as long as there are people who want to learn it, there will be opportunities for you to make money.
You can offer your language coaching services on Fiverr, or on sites like Italki and Preply.
CONCLUSION
Well, lads, that’s it!
14 Fiverr gig ideas that you can offer to make money without any special skills!
Now, a couple of follow-up tips.
Numero uno: Before creating your gig, don’t forget to do competitor research! Look up the gig you want to offer on Fiverr, and see how others are writing their gig descriptions, setting their gig images, and pricing their services.
Numero dos: It’s also worth mentioning that you should already have some photos/proof of completed projects before you publish your gig.
So, for example, if you’re a model you may want to do a ‘fake’ photoshoot to get some good photos for potential clients to see.
Or, if you’re offering a social media post design gig, make some random Instagram or Pinterest post designs beforehand.
Now, I have poured out all my knowledge.
So peace out, and cya in the next post!
