My faves <3
Here’s some of my favorite stuff… In totally random categories.
Favorite books
x The Lord of The Flies by William Golding
“What are we? Humans? Or animals? Or savages?”
x Heaven Has No Favorites by Erich Maria Remarque
“Hard... What does he mean by hard? And am I like that? Or is it only that I have no time for the fraud of so-called good manners, which strews a little glitter over black truths, and thinks that that has made them disappear.”
x 1984 by George Orwell
“The choice for mankind lies between freedom and happiness and for the great bulk of mankind, happiness is better.”
x A Time to Love and a Time to Die by Erich Maria Remarque
“He’s afraid," Graber said.
"Yes, naturally. But he’s a good dog."
"And a man-eater."
"We’re all that."
"Why?"
"We are. And we think, just like that dog, that we are still good. And just like him we are looking for a bit of warmth and light and friendship.”
Favorite movies
x Premium Rush (2012)
Why I love it: It’s so frickin’ simple. And fun. And full of action, but BELIEVABLE action (unlike some shitty pew-pew we are shooting machine guns at the good guy, but guess what, he survives! movies) that inspires you to get the fuck out of bed and just live your life. Oh, and it’s full of cussing and sweet banter. Just what I like.
Oh and, I probably just like it cuz I’m a bicycle food courier, and this is how cool I imagine myself to be whilst working.
x The Fast and The Furious Tokyo Drift (2006)
Why I love it: Yeah, pretty much same reasons as the last one: it’s full of action, and it’s fun. And there’s cool cars. Just a real 2000s vibe.
x Iron Man (2008)
Why I love it: It’s crazy how much this movie has inspired me. I mean, Tony Stark is the sole reason that I started programming, and got interested in mechanics. It’s like, every time I feel unmotivated to learn, I just think “c’mon, do you want to be a smart badass like Tony Stark or not??”
Also, ohmygod, it’s Robert Downey Jr.

Nerd Fitness is just so much fun to read. They write in an entertaining way, and have useful guides on everything like building muscle, starting calisthenics, and eating healthy.
I only recently discovered The Bookwyrm’s Den, and have already got so many great book recommendations. They seem to have a similar taste to mine – at least when it comes to sarcastic characters being their jam.
Also, their page just looks so dope, kind of retro style. Love it.
Hey, women can like this site too, ok?
I stumbled upon this blog when googling something basic, probably like how to survive a falling elevator. And boy, I got hooked. The Art of Manliness has guides on practically anything you can think of: from basic know-hows like how to get your car unstuck to how to land a plane in an emergency. Stuff you’ve got to know.
Also, this was actually one of the sites that inspired me to start my own blog – I wanted to share tips on how to take your life up a notch by learning awesome (and useful!) skills – just like The Art of Manliness does.
